Many apologies for being so quiet. School continues to be incredibly busy as you will appreciate.
We are now starting to look forward to September and what that might look like for our school.
We are hoping that September we are able to open to all pupils, things will be slightly different and we will need to look at how we manage the children and spaces we have. this is very much the plan that I am currently working too – obviously we will need to continue to be mindful of any changes that may be made if there is another spike – BUT at the minute we are working towards a full opening (and we are really looking forward to this, we have missed everyone very much!)
Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd of September are training days, we are unable to change these as they are already set and we have some trainers booked in. On Thursday the 3rd September we are going to hold a transition day, where times will be allocated for you to come into school with your child and meet the new class team. We will be contacting you next week with time slots. Then we will be open from 4th September – which is a Friday. We know that this only gives the children 1 day in school before a weekend but this will allow them to prepare for the first full week.
Later this week we will be sending home the children’s end of year reports and class lists, again many apologies for how late these are, we have had some recruitment issues and COVID 19 has slowed everything down and made it that little bit more tricky. Full details will be posted out on friday so should be with you over the weekend or by next Monday at the latest.
Also, we have to share the sad news that we are losing some staff this year. Mrs Sarah Lucas, Mrs Sarah Barton and Cleo Bradburn have all decided to take early retirement, Shonagh Joyce is leaving to train as a teacher and Faith Robotham is leaving to be a full time Mummy. We are going to miss them all very much and wish them well. They have been amazing members of the school team and leave big shoes to fill.
As always, many thanks for your ongoing support, it has been such a trying time for us all, the positivity and support off parents has been amazing.
