We have had the busiest of weeks in the Forest. With lots of seasonal activities and even some campfires. On Monday Early Years sat beautifully around the campfire watching the flames and are now looking forward to toasting some Christmas bread shapes next week. On Tuesday 1R made some beautiful ‘Celebration sticks’ using wool and bells. They worked hard at winding the wool around the sticks to make them look nice. IH used ferns from the forest to create lovely fern prints ready to turn into Christmas trees. On Wednesday 3H continued using the hand drills to make their Snowmen decorations and painted them white. 4L finished the Forest week by cooking jacket potatoes in the campfire. They learnt about the different types of wood we use for the fire then when the potatoes were ready chose which fillings they would like, cheese, beans or both! Everyone agreed they were delicious.
