This week in the Forest we have been making ‘Fairy Fires’ using a Flint and Steel. First we practised using the flint and steel making sure we pressed on hard and remembering to strike the steel away from ourselves to make sparks. We then pulled apart cotton pads to use as our fuel and placed them carefully onto a metal tin. We then knelt down and lit our Fires. Everybody concentrated really well and enjoyed making and watching the ‘Fairy Fires’ light and then extinguish. We have also had lots of painting, clay, music and water exploration in the Forest this week although everyone agreed the fires were their favourite. 2F were amazing on Tuesday and after lots of practise over the last 5 weeks all came to the circle for ‘STICKY ELBOWS’ with everyone showing what great listening they can do.
