This week in the Forest we have been helping to celebrate ‘National Insect Week’ by thinking about all the insects and mini beasts that we share our Forest with. 2F and 2B used the magnifying glasses and identification boards to search around. Then they painted some beautiful pictures and made clay models of the creatures they had found. 1R and 1B cooled off with some edible nature blocks and enjoyed looking at books in the shade of the story circle. Caterpillars enjoyed some cool, calming Lavender painting. They pinched the Lavender flowers to release the fragrance, smelling how nice they were and then designed their own Lavender pictures. We have also made our own bubble wands in the Forest this week and filled up the bird feeders.
