We have had a culinary extravaganza to end half term in the Forest. On Monday Early Years kicked thing off by celebrating our ‘Italian’ day with campfire pasta. Everyone enjoyed watching the steam swirl and seeing and tasting the difference between the dry and cooked pasta. It was ‘Deliziosa’…Delicious! 2C finished their sessions with yummy S’mores everyone concentrated well holding their toasting sticks at just the right height. 2M kept up the Italian theme with some Cheesy Garlic Bread while 3L opted for some simpler Toast and Butter. On Wednesday 1W turned their thoughts to ‘Valentines day’ making magic Toast. They carefully decorated their bread using food colouring mixed with milk then watched and waited while the bread toasted over the fire slowly turning into toast. 3R finished their sessions with loaded chips, choosing between cheese and herbs or both. They also made some wonderful ‘Solar’ pictures using the items they found in the Forest. It has been a cold half term but we are hopefully looking forward to sunnier, warmer days next half term.
