This week in the Forest we have been thinking all about the Summer Solstice. On Monday 2F used special Cyanotype paper to make some beautiful pictures using the power from the Sun. The class used natural items from around the forest to create their pictures and then left them in the Sun for 10 minutes. They then activated the paper by placing it in water. Everyone loved watching the colours change and were really pleased with the finished results. We have also had lots of other Sun themed activities in the Forest. Some sunshine threading, sunshine fruit printing and even a Pines Stonehenge made with the building blocks, while the digging pit became a treasure pit with pupils using the metal detectors to find the buried treasure.
