Year 6 are ‘Just So’.

Well ‘my best beloved’, Year 6 have been reading the Just So Stories of Rudyard Kipling. We read and watched How the Whale Got his Throat and How the leopard Got his Spots. It was ‘specially good fun writing our own stories. We have been doing Yoga in P.E. and we all really like it.

Yummy snacks in 3E

3E have continued to work on our healthy eating topic this week. The children have enjoyed making mini fruit pizza’s and trying lots of different, healthy foods, such as celery, mango, melon and avocado. In English, 3E have started work on “The Ugly Duckling.”


er 3M have been busy

Class 3M have had a lovely week. We went to The Hippodrome to watch the pantomime Cinderella. We had fun. We have been looking at sounds in English and this week we found words with “er”. We were fantastic and got 37 in 10 minutes!

Year 6 have been ‘classifying’

In Science we have been learning about Carl Linnaeus, a famous Swedish scientist.  .He made a system of classifying living things. We still use it today. We sorted animals into groups -vertebrates and invertebrates. We have been writing biographies of interesting people like Steve Job and Walt Disney.
