Year 7 blog by Niamh and Jack

We’ve been doing a lot of stuff in Class 7 so far.

In English, we learned about Capital letters and full stops. We use a Capital letter for the beginning of a sentence and for a name of something. We use a full stop at the end of a sentence. We also did a newspaper report on Moana going missing. We used punctuation word board to help us. We wrote a newspaper of Moana missing from the island. We watched the whole Moana movie and it was excellent.

In Maths, we learned about money. We used the pounds and pences to take away and to see how much we spent on shopping. We added up all the money to see how much we raised. It’s hard the first time, but it was easy the second time.

In Art, we learned about Andy Goldsworthy. He is an environmental artist. He uses sticks, stones, leaves, animal poo and all kinds of nature stuff. We also did sculpting. We filled the balloons with water, put them in the freezer, and left them for a week. We then made ice sculptures. We also went to the park to make a picture and in the forest school area.
